# Upgrade and manage billing

> Upgrade to Project Echo Pro and manage subscription, invoices, and payment methods.

Upgrade when your workspace needs Pro features such as a **custom domain** or **removing Project Echo branding**. Billing is per workspace.

## Upgrade to Pro

1. Sign in to the staff app and open the workspace you want to upgrade.
2. Start from a Pro feature (for example custom domain or branding controls in **Settings → Domain**, **Branding**, or **Feedback portal**) or your workspace billing entry point.
3. Choose monthly (\~\$29/mo) or yearly billing when offered.
4. Complete checkout with the email and payment details requested.
5. After payment succeeds, your workspace plan should show **Pro**. Retry the Pro setting you wanted to enable.

If the plan does not update immediately, refresh the app or reopen the settings page after a short wait.

## Manage subscription and invoices

Billing admins can open the Stripe-powered **customer portal** from workspace billing controls to:

* Update payment methods
* View invoices
* Switch between available Pro intervals when offered
* Cancel the subscription

Only teammates marked as billing admins should manage payment methods.

## After you upgrade

* Configure **Settings → Domain** for your custom domain.
* Adjust **Settings → Branding** / public surfaces to remove PE branding where Pro allows.
* Keep using **Integrations** and **API & MCP** as before — those are not under Settings.

## Downgrade / cancel

Canceling Pro returns the workspace toward Free features when the paid period ends. Custom domain and remove-branding capabilities that require Pro will no longer apply after the subscription ends—plan any DNS or branding changes ahead of time.
