# Overview of the public feedback portal

> Learn what the feedback portal is and where to configure it in Project Echo.

The feedback portal is the customer-facing home for ideas, voting, your roadmap, and changelog. Staff manage work in the app; customers interact on your portal URL.

## Staff app vs portal

* **App:** [app.projectecho.io](https://app.projectecho.io) — triage requests, edit the roadmap, publish changelog entries, and change settings.
* **Portal:** `https://YOURSUBDOMAIN.projectecho.io` — where customers browse and engage (or your verified custom domain on Pro).

## What customers can do

Depending on your settings, customers may:

* Browse feedback on boards you expose
* Submit new requests (subject to access rules)
* Upvote requests
* Comment when signed in as a portal member or teammate
* View **Roadmap** and **Changelog** tabs when those tabs are enabled

## Where to configure the portal

Go to **Settings → Feedback portal**. Tabs include:

* **General** — Portal URL and high-level options
* **Visibility** — Who can access the portal; boards and statuses to show; roadmap/changelog tabs
* **Design** — Portal title, tab titles, and branding options
* **Voting** — Where vote counts appear
* **Commenting** — Commenting configuration (more options may appear over time)
* **SEO** — Title and description for search and browser tabs
* **Advanced** — Options such as masking member identities

Use **View feedback portal** from settings to preview (disabled when the portal is Hidden).

## Related settings

* **Settings → Branding** — Workspace logo and name used on the portal
* **Settings → Domain** — Custom domain (Pro)
* **Settings → Feedback** — Boards and request fields that feed the portal
