# Create your account and first workspace

> Sign up for Project Echo and complete onboarding to create your first workspace.

Getting started takes a few minutes. You’ll create an account, set up your profile, and launch your first workspace with starter boards and statuses.

## Create an account

1. Go to [app.projectecho.io](https://app.projectecho.io) and choose **Sign up**
2. Sign up with **email and password**, or continue with **Google**
3. If you’re asked to confirm your email, follow the link in your inbox, then return to the app

If someone invited you, open the invite link instead. Your email may already be filled in for that workspace.

## Complete onboarding

The onboarding flow walks you through five steps:

1. **Company details** — company name and website (your company name becomes the workspace title, and a portal subdomain is derived from it)
2. **Your profile** — name, role, and optional avatar
3. **Goals** — what you want to use Project Echo for (feedback, roadmap, changelog, and more)
4. **Seed ideas** — add a few starter ideas that become your first requests
5. **Invite your team** — send invites now, or skip and invite later from Settings

When you finish, you’re the workspace **admin** (and billing admin for that workspace).

## What’s created for you

Your new workspace includes:

* Default **boards**: Features and Bugs
* Default **statuses**: Pending, Reviewing, Planned, In Progress, Completed, and Closed
* The starter requests you added during onboarding
