# Go-live checklist for your feedback portal

> Steps to configure and share your Project Echo feedback portal with customers.

Your feedback portal is the customer-facing site at `YOURSUBDOMAIN.projectecho.io`. Use this checklist before you share it widely.

## Before you share the link

* [ ] Confirm the **portal subdomain** under Settings → Feedback portal
* [ ] Apply **branding** so the portal matches your product
* [ ] Set **portal visibility**:
  * **Publicly available** — anyone can visit
  * **Members & team only** — limited to signed-in members and team
  * **Hidden** — visitors are redirected away (portal not shared)
* [ ] Choose which portal tabs to show (**feedback**, **roadmap**, **changelog**)
* [ ] Review which **boards** and **statuses** appear on the portal
* [ ] Decide whether vote counts and identities should be visible (including mask identities if you use that option)
* [ ] Add a few polished public requests so the portal doesn’t look empty

## Soft launch

1. Open **Feedback portal** from the staff app sidebar and review the experience as a visitor would
2. Share the portal URL with a small internal group or trusted customers first
3. Submit a test request with **Give Feedback**, then upvote and comment
4. Confirm staff can see the request under **Requests** and respond

## Wider launch

* [ ] Add the portal link in your product, docs, or support macros
* [ ] Optionally connect Slack or other integrations so new feedback is noticed quickly
* [ ] If you’re on Pro, consider a **custom domain** and removing Project Echo branding

## After go-live

Keep triage healthy: assign owners, update statuses, and publish roadmap or changelog updates so customers see progress.
