# How to add images to comments

> Insert images into request comments with the slash menu, paste, or drag and drop.

You can add images to **comments** (and internal notes) on a request so screenshots and visuals stay with the conversation.

## Where to write a comment

1. Open the request
2. Go to the **Comments** tab
3. Use the comment box at the bottom (or reply under an existing comment)

On the feedback portal, open the request and use the comment field there (if commenting is allowed).

## Add an image with the insert menu

1. Click in the comment field
2. Type `/` to open the insert menu
3. Choose **Image**
4. Click the upload area (or drop a file onto it)
5. Pick a **PNG**, **JPG**, **GIF**, or **WebP** image (max **10 MB**)
6. Wait for the upload to finish
7. Click **Comment** (or **Note** for an internal note) to post

## Paste an image or screenshot

1. Copy an image, or take a screenshot to the clipboard
2. Click in the comment field
3. Paste with **Ctrl+V** (Windows/Linux) or **Cmd+V** (Mac)
4. Wait for the upload to finish, then post the comment

## Drag and drop

1. Click in the comment field
2. Drag an image file onto the editor
3. Wait for the upload to finish, then post

## Tips

* Supported types: PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP
* Maximum size: 10 MB per image
* Images in **internal notes** stay staff-only (they are not shown on the public portal)
* Public comments with images are visible wherever that comment thread is shown
