# How to add links to request descriptions

> Insert clickable links in a request description using the slash insert menu.

You can add **clickable links** to a request **description**—for example to docs, tickets, or related pages.

## Where to edit the description

* **New request:** open **New Request** and use the **Add details** field
* **Existing request:** open the request, then edit the description

## Add a link

1. Click in the description field where you want the link
2. Type `/` to open the insert menu
3. Choose **Link**
4. When prompted, enter the **URL** (include `https://` when possible)
5. When prompted, enter the **link text** customers and teammates will see (or keep the suggested text)
6. Confirm — the linked text appears in the description
7. Save the request (or finish editing)

## Tips

* Prefer full URLs starting with `https://`
* You can add multiple links in one description
* On the request detail page, links open when clicked
