# How to add numbered and bullet lists to comments

> Create bullet and numbered lists in request comments with the slash insert menu.

Use **bullet lists** and **numbered lists** in **comments** (or internal notes) to keep replies clear and scannable.

## Where to write a comment

1. Open the request
2. Go to the **Comments** tab
3. Use the comment box (or reply under a comment)

On the feedback portal, use the request comment field if commenting is allowed.

## Add a bullet list

1. Click in the comment field
2. Type `/` to open the insert menu
3. Choose **Bullet list**
4. Type the first item, then press **Enter** for the next item
5. Press **Enter** twice (or insert **Text**) when you want to leave the list
6. Post the comment

## Add a numbered list

1. Click in the comment field
2. Type `/` to open the insert menu
3. Choose **Numbered list**
4. Type each step, pressing **Enter** between items
5. Leave the list when you are done, then post

## Tips

* Lists work the same way in **internal notes** (lock icon in the composer)
* You can mix lists with images, links, and YouTube embeds from the `/` menu
