# Score conditional formatting

> Color score badges from green to red relative to the requests currently on screen.

When request scoring is enabled, Project Echo can color score badges so low scores read as green and high scores as red—**relative to the other scores currently shown** on that page.

## What it does

Conditional formatting applies a soft green→red heat scale to score badges on:

* The **Requests** list
* The staff **Roadmap** board

Colors are calculated from the **minimum and maximum scores visible in the current view** (after your filters). That means:

* A score that looks “red” in a high-scoring filtered set may look more neutral or green in a different filtered set
* If every visible score is the same, badges use a neutral mid tone
* Requests without a score (or when scoring is off) are not colored by this feature

This is a visual aid for scanning relative priority—not a fixed absolute scale across your whole workspace.

## Turn it on or off

1. Open **Settings → Feedback**.
2. Open the **Scoring** tab.
3. Ensure scoring is enabled.
4. Toggle **Show conditional formatting**.

When scoring is disabled, conditional formatting is unavailable. The control explains that badges are colored from green (low) to red (high) relative to other requests currently shown.

## How to use it well

* Filter or group first, then scan badge color to spot outliers in that working set
* Combine with sort by **Score** when you want a strict ordering
* Review the **Score** tab on a request for the factor breakdown behind the number

Conditional formatting does not change how scores are calculated. It only changes how badges look on list and roadmap surfaces.
