# Roadmap visibility and status columns

> Control which boards and status columns customers see on the portal roadmap.

The staff roadmap shows every active status. The portal roadmap is intentional: you choose which boards and statuses customers can see.

## Staff vs portal columns

* **Staff Roadmap** — One column per active status; drag cards to change status.
* **Portal Roadmap** — Only boards and statuses marked for Roadmap visibility; Hidden items never appear.

That split lets you keep internal triage columns private while still sharing Planned and In Progress work.

## Enable the Roadmap tab

1. Open **Settings → Feedback portal → Visibility**.
2. Turn on **Show the roadmap tab**.
3. Optionally rename the tab under **Design** (**Roadmap tab title**).

## Configure boards and statuses

Still under **Visibility**:

### Boards to show

For each board, choose **Feedback only**, **Roadmap only**, **Feedback & Roadmap**, or **Hidden**.

### Statuses to show

Use the same four options per status. Common public setups:

* Show **Planned** and **In Progress** on Roadmap
* Show **Completed** if you want shipped work visible there
* Keep **Closed** (and often **Pending**) Hidden on the portal

## Vote counts on roadmap

Under **Settings → Feedback portal → Voting**, choose whether vote counts appear on the Roadmap tab.

## Checklist

* Portal visibility is not Hidden
* Roadmap tab is enabled
* Each public column has a customer-friendly status name
* Internal-only boards are Hidden or Feedback-only
