# Account profile and email notification preferences

> Update your profile details and choose which Project Echo emails you receive.

Your Account page controls how you appear to teammates and which email alerts you get. These preferences apply to you as a signed-in user—not to the whole workspace.

## Open Account

1. Sign in at [app.projectecho.io](https://app.projectecho.io).
2. Open **Account**.
3. Use the tabs: **Profile**, **Email notifications**, and **Settings**.

## Profile

On **Profile** you can:

* Update your **Profile picture**
* Edit **First name** and **Last name**
* View **Email** (read-only)

Use the name and photo teammates will recognize on requests, comments, and changelog authorship.

## Email notifications

On **Email notifications**, choose **Email me when:**

* A teammate creates a request
* A member creates a request
* A teammate comments on a request
* A portal member comments on a request
* A teammate accepts a workspace invite
* A new member is added

Enable the alerts that match your role. For example, support leads often keep member request and comment emails on; quieter individual contributors may prefer fewer.

## Account settings

The **Settings** tab is reserved for future account-level options. Workspace branding, team, domain, and portal configuration remain under **Settings** in the main navigation (Branding, Team, Domain, Feedback, Feedback portal).

## Tips

* Keep your profile name consistent with how you sign changelog posts.
* Revisit notification toggles after your responsibilities change.
* Workspace-wide portal behavior is not controlled here—use Feedback portal settings instead.
