Custom domains are not available on Free. If you see an upgrade prompt or the message “Upgrade to Pro to use a custom domain,” upgrade first, then continue.
Open domain settings
- Sign in at app.projectecho.io.
- Go to Settings → Domain.
- Enter the hostname you want to use (a subdomain of a domain you control).
yourcompany.com without a subdomain) are not supported. Use a hostname such as feedback.yourcompany.com.
Verify ownership and DNS
- Add the TXT record Project Echo shows so we can confirm you control the domain.
- Create the CNAME record that points your hostname at Project Echo, using the target shown in settings.
- Select Check DNS and wait for verification to succeed.
After verification
- The portal is available on
https://your-custom-hostname. - Your
*.projectecho.ioportal URL redirects to the custom domain. - Embeds and links you share with customers should use the custom origin.
Tips
- Prefer a stable hostname; changing it later means updating bookmarks, embeds, and emails.
- Keep TLS/HTTPS expectations in mind—customers should open the
https://URL. - Pair a custom domain with logo, portal title, and (optionally) hiding Powered by branding for a fully on-brand portal.
