Two independent settings help you protect privacy and present the portal clearly in browsers and search results: identity masking and SEO metadata.

Mask member identities

  1. Go to Settings → Feedback portal → Advanced.
  2. Enable Mask member identities.
When enabled, the portal hides member names and avatars. Masked authors appear as Anonymous. Internal team members are not affected—staff authorship still displays normally. Use masking when:
  • You want public voting without exposing individual customer names
  • Feedback is sensitive or regulated in your industry
  • You prefer a community that focuses on ideas, not identities
Turn masking off when transparency and recognition matter more than anonymity.

SEO settings

Open Settings → Feedback portal → SEO:
  • SEO title — Browser tab title and primary title search engines may use
  • SEO description — Meta description (up to 320 characters)
Write a short, plain description of what customers will find—for example your product name plus “feature requests, roadmap, and product updates.”

Practical tips

  • Update SEO fields whenever you change the portal title or positioning.
  • Masking does not change who can access the portal; combine it with Portal visibility under the Visibility tab.
  • Preview the portal after changes to confirm anonymous labels and tab titles look right.
