Changelog entries tell customers what shipped. Create drafts while you write, then publish when you are ready for the portal.

Open Changelog

  1. Sign in at app.projectecho.io.
  2. Select Changelog in the sidebar.
  3. Filter by Published or Draft as needed.

Create an entry

  1. Start a new changelog entry.
  2. Write a clear title and body focused on customer value—what changed and why it matters.
  3. Set:
  • Author — The teammate credited on the post
  • Publication date — When the entry should show as published
  • URL slug — The path segment used on the portal entry page
  • Published — Switch on when the post should go live; leave off for drafts
  1. Optionally link completed requests (see Link changelog posts to requests).
  2. Save. Delete the entry from the editor if you need to remove it entirely.

Show changelog on the portal

  1. Go to Settings → Feedback portal → Visibility.
  2. Enable Show the changelog tab.
  3. Optionally customize Changelog tab title under Design.
Customers open your portal (https://YOURSUBDOMAIN.projectecho.io) and browse published entries. Drafts stay in the staff app only.

Writing tips

  • One theme per entry beats a long mixed list.
  • Link the completed requests that drove the release.
  • Publish close to the real ship date so the roadmap and changelog stay aligned.
