You can embed a YouTube video in a request description so teammates and customers can watch it on the request detail page.

Where to edit the description

  • New request: open New Request and use the Add details field
  • Existing request: open the request, then edit the description

Add a YouTube video

  1. Click in the description field where you want the video
  2. Type / to open the insert menu
  3. Choose YouTube
  4. When prompted, paste a YouTube URL or video ID, for example:
    • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID
    • https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID
    • or just the 11-character video ID
  5. Confirm — the video embed appears in the description
  6. Save the request (or finish editing the description)

Tips

  • Use a full watch URL or youtu.be link when possible
  • If an embed looks broken (no video), delete it and add the YouTube item again
  • Portal list cards do not play videos; the embed shows on the request detail page
